First CNG Facilities for Daqing
City

China, He Longjian Province
Daqing Vehicle Gas Company has
inaugurated the first compressed
natural gas (CNG) daughter
station in He Longjinag Province
’s Daqing City. The new facility
is capable of delivering 12,000
cubic meters of CNG per day. By
the end of 2007, one mother CNG
refueling station and seven
daughter CNG refueling stations
will be established. Nine CNG
refueling stations will be in
operation in major cities in the
province next year.

Bolivia Passes 75,000 NGV and
100 CNG Station Milestones

Bolivia’s natural gas vehicle
(NGV) industry is powering ahead
with the 75,000 NGV’s now on the
country’s roads and 100
compressed natural gas (CNG)
fuelling stations now servicing
them making natural gas the most
used alternative fuel in the
country. Details of the
milestones were announced by the
interim chairman of Transredes,
Hugo Vits, explaining that the
Superintendent of Hydrocarbons
had issued a report of the 100
stations with an operations
licenses: 43 in Cochabamba, 37
in Santa Cruz, 14 in La Paz/El
Alto, 2 in Sucre, 2 in Oruro and
2 in Tarija.

Iveco Continues Penetration of
CNG Refuse Markets in Spain

Spanish
refuse service operator FCC has
taken delivery of the first of
about 125 compressed natural gas
(CNG) garbage collection and
city cleaning vehicles that will
be added to the CNG current
fleet in Madrid of 445 trucks. A
sample of vehicles was selected
by FCC for presentation to the
city Council, including the
light Daily CNG, the heavies
Stralis CNG 3 axle -26 ton- with
rear and full pneumatic
suspensions, and Stralis CNG
narrow (2.3 m max. width) 25
ton, and the medium 15 ton
hybrid compactor based on the
Iveco EuroCargo diesel model.

The OMV CNG (compressed natural
gas) Team will compete with two
cars at the OMV Rally
Waldviertel, the finale of the
Austrian National Championship
(November 9 to 10, 2007). As
well as Beppo Harrach in the CNG
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX Manfred
Stohl will compete with the CNG
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI for the
first time. Stohl’s team of
engineers developed the CNG
vehicles for the OMV team.
