ANGVA Calls for EOIs for 2009
Conference and Exhibition

The Asia-Pacific NGV Association
(ANGVA) is seeking expressions
of interest from organizations
that would like to undertake the
task of being Organizer of the
Conference and Exhibition ANGVA
2009. It has been decided that
ANGVA will hold a conference
every two years, the next one
being ANGVA 2007 in Bangkok in
November. The conference and
exhibition after that should be
held in the second half of 2009.
Issues that will be considered
during the decision making for
the conference venue include the
following:
1. Strong local NGV
industry
2. State of development of
local NGV programme.
3. Track record of
conference organizer, including
financial backing
4. Likely collaboration and
support from local and national
government
5. The maintenance of a
reasonable geographical spread
over the years for the venue
6. Industry participation
and support
7. ANGVA actual and
potential membership in the area
and level of NGV activity
8. Potential benefits and
financial return to ANGVA
9. Anticipated competition
from other conferences at the
planned time
10. Ease and cost of travel
from around the Asia Pacific
region
11. Good shipping access for
exhibitors with adequate floor
loading for heavy equipment
12. Good exhibition area with
close outdoor area for vehicles
13. Conference area immediately
adjacent to exhibition area
14. Main theatre about 500 or
more with 3 breakout rooms close
by
15. 4 or 5 star conference
hotel + a selection of cheaper
hotels
16. Suitable room for Board and
General Meetings, either at
Conference Hotel or conference
centre.

more detail. This may be

As noted above, expressions of
interest are being sought at
this stage (so that not all of
these issues need to be dealt
with in detail in any
submission). The Board of ANGVA
will consider the expressions of
interest and select one
organization to submit a
detailed proposal with a view to
negotiating a contract for
ANGVA2009.
Expressions of interest should
be sent to the Secretary General
by 1 September 2007.
