Baytech Systems Qualify for
Maximum IRS Credits
Thursday, 02 August 2007
US alternative fuel conversion
system developer, Baytech
Corporation has successfully
submitted a certification to the
Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
for a wide range of 2004-2007
medium and heavy-duty conversion
systems, requesting that they
should qualify for the maximum
amount of tax credit, i.e., 80
percent of the incremental
price. The IRS has now
responded in agreement with
Baytech’s request.
IRS stated in their response,
“We have determined that a
purchaser of this Qualified
Alternative Fuel Motor Vehicle
may rely on the certification
concerning the vehicle’s
qualification for a Qualified
Alternative Fuel Motor Vehicle
Credit. The fuel credit amount
for these vehicles are $8,000,
$20,000 and $32,000,
respectively … It is available
to qualifying purchasers.”
